בהרצאה אעביר מבוא אינטואיטיבי ככל הניתן לתחום למידת המכונה. בין היתר, אכסה מושגים בסיסיים כדוגמת supervised vs. unsupervised learning, cross-validation, regularization. לאחר מכן, אסביר מהם האתגרים וההזדמנויות שמספק עולם למידת המכונה לשאלות שמעניינות כלכלנים, בפרט בכל הקשור לניתוח מדיניות.
