The Department of Economics at Bar-Ilan University seeks to recruit a new faculty member for a position starting in October 2022, conditional on the approval of a new tenure-track slot by the university administration.
We seek excellent and outstanding candidates in all fields, especially in macroeconomics, international trade, development economics, and applied microeconomics.
Applicants should be fluent in Hebrew (as teaching of all courses is in Hebrew in Bar-Ilan University). Exceptional candidates, which are not fluent in Hebrew, may be recruited if they are committed to reach a level allowing teaching in Hebrew within a year from recruitment (October 2023).
Job applications can be submitted by email to the departmental coordinator Ms. Efrat Uzan (Economics.Dept@biu.ac.il) or through Econjobmarket.org web site, preferably till October 20th, 2021. The final deadline for applications is November 10th, 2021 (we allow some of the recommendation letters to arrive till November, 30th, 2021).
The initial application should include a CV and a job-market paper. Letters of recommendation are also obligatory; recommenders should either send their letters directly to Ms. Efrat Uzan or upload them through Econjobmarket.org.
In order to receive full consideration, applications should be submitted by October 10th 2021 and at-least two letters of recommendation should be sent by November 10th 2021.
Short-listed candidates will be invited to give job talks during December 2021 and the first half of January 2022. The job talks will be either on campus or presented via Zoom, depending on COVID-19 guidelines in effect in Israel at that time
