“Strategic” Behavior in Strategy-proof Environments
Abstract: I will overview evidence of non-truthful reporting in strategy-proof environments, mostly related to two-sided matching systems such as the ones used to match doctors to medical residencies and students to schools or universities. I will specifically focus on establishing such behavior in the Israeli psychology masters match, and will discuss how to characterize misrepresenters.
