Seminar in the Memory of Professor Gershon Alperovich

This is the recording of a meeting that preceded the first Departmental Seminar for the 2022‒2023 academic year, on October 24, 2022, at the Department of Economics at Bar-Ilan University. The meeting was held in memory of Professor (Emeritus) Gershon Alperovich, Z”L, who was a faculty member at the Department of Economics from 1976 to 2011. Professor Alperovich was a leading scholar in the field of urban economics, ranked among the top 25 (and even among the top 3) scholars in the field. During the event, his colleagues and family members talked about Professor Alperovich as a parent, a friend, a colleague, a scholar, and an academic who has contributed significantly to the Department of Economics, to Bar-Ilan University, and more broadly to the academics. Following the meeting, Professor David Genesove of the Hebrew University presented a seminar.
