THREE STUDIES ON DISHONEST BEHAVIOR - job talk
Over the past two decades, with the growing appeal of experimental techniques, behavioral economists and social psychologists have been designing numerous lab and field experiments with the purpose of deriving insights on people’s dishonest behavior. In this presentation I will review three experimental studies on dishonesty of myself and colleagues. The first study enquires whether tightwads cheat more than other people. The next two studies relate to the COVID-19 pandemic: the first distinguishes between dishonest behavior of people who wear their masks promptly and not promptly, whereas the second connects between the COVID-19 vaccination and subsequent dishonest behavior.
