Evolution in Switching Environments (Work in Progress)
Evolutionary dynamics has mostly been considered in a fixed environment, with “noise” usually stemming from mutations or population size. Nevertheless, many examples in economics, evolution, and ecology require a changing environment. In this work in progress I consider a model of replicator dynamics in stochastically switching environments and aim to study its stationary distribution(s). I will present results regarding the stationary distribution for 2X2 and 3X3 games as well as for potential games. The difficulty in extending the results to more general cases will also be discussed.
