ABOUT RIE

The purpose of the Research Institute for Econometrics and Economic Theory (RIE) is to bring together researchers interested in economic theory, mathematics, statistics, and computer science in order to facilitate and foster the exchange of ideas, interdisciplinary cross-fertilization, and dissemination of frontier research. Special emphasis is put on game theory and its applications in such fields as economics, social choice, political science, and biology. The RIE also provides financial grants to research students and supports special events, such as workshops and guest lectures, that promote its purpose.
